The Executive Secretary

Captain Junaid Abdullahi is the current Executive Secretary Border Communities Development Agency (BCDA).
He is an indigene of Kazaure in Jigawa State. An Aviator with over 32 years experience in the industry. He is an articulate and dynamic leader with good communication skills and a high work rate.

Over the years, he has engaged in several pursuits for knowledge. He had his primary education at Nassarawa Primary School, Katsina and Magwan Primary School, Kano respectively between 1965 and 1971 where he obtained his first school leaving certificate. He attended the renowned Rumfa College in Kano, from 1972 to 1976 for his post-primary education. Thereafter, he proceeded to the School of Basic Studies at the Prestigious Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria in 1976.

In his pursuit of his dream of becoming a commercial pilot, he got admission at the Burnside-OTT Aviation Training Centre in Miami Florida, the United States of America in 1976 where he obtained a commercial pilot license Airplane, Single and Multiple-Engine Land, Instrument Rating and jet transition on Lear-jet 24.

In his quest for more professional qualification, Captain Abdullahi obtained the following;
Training on advance instrument flight procedures at the Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, Dattona Beach, Florida USA.(1978)
Lockheed JetStar Ground School and Simulator Training at Lockheed Martin Factory in Marietta, Georgia in the United States of America in 1979.
Airline Transport Pilot License- Airplanes and Rotocraft Helicopters with Instruments Ratings from Versatile Helicopters Inc. Admore, Oklahoma, USA.(1992)

In the course of his flying career, Captain Abdullahi worked as a pilot with United Air Services (1979-1981), Aero Contractors (1981-1983) and Imani Aviation Limited (1983-1984). He retired from active flying in 1998 and went into private business.
His management career started in Capital Aviation Services, Kaduna as Operations Manager Aerial Surveillance &Migratory Pests Control (1992-1995). He became Project Consultant to Petroleum Trust Fund (PTF) on Integrated Aerial Surveillance & Control of Trans-Border Migratory Pests in 16 Frontline Northern States in 1998.
Captain Abdullahi was Group Managing Director (GMD) First Group Limited until his current appointment as the Executive Secretary of the Agency.
He is married and blessed with children.
